Pre Primary Section

Pre Primary Section

(Nursery to KG II)

Pre-Primary Learning at DPS Jamnagar is informal and is done through play-way method using specially designed aids. Many creative activities are designed and followed by the teachers for the development of different skills of the children like gross motor, social, emotional and cognitive skills thus making them self-reliant. Alphabets and numbers are taught using phonetics. Classes are designed to be enjoyable using different techniques and children are taken to the field trips, which helps them in practical learning.

Middle Section

Middle Section

(Grade VI & VIII)

We believe in providing opportunities for students that extend to reflect in their work. We develop approaches to achieve balance and equilibrium in students’ life, in context to self and rest of the world.

Secondary Section

Secondary Section

(Grade IX and X)

It is an extension and further consolidation of the Educational Programme which is a start-up professional course for future edifying years. In middle section, children are more focused and study oriented. Activities are comparatively less and the focus is more on academics because our curious learners are ready to shoulder more responsibilities of learning new subjects. At this stage, new subjects are introduced to the students and, therefore, this is a critical phase of transformation to mould the children for rigorous academic work. Students at this juncture, with their academic perfection, are prepared to achieve the highest standard.

Our curriculum

Our Curriculum is unique since it involves Multiple Intelligence, Experiential Learning, Activity Based learning and Bloom’s Taxonomy.

Adhering to Howard Gardner’s principle the curriculum is specially designed for it believes that no two individual are same. Also as per MI, our curriculum empowers every student to specialize and excel at least in one area. Thus present education breaks the hindrances of only academic excellence prevailing in the education system of yesteryears

Our curriculum focuses on Experiential Learning as we believe that student learning and retention power when he/she learns through experience. Also Experiential Learning leads to Affective learning thereby enhancing self-confidence, social competencies, judgment, constructive discussion and cooperative problem solving.

Various unique and interesting activities are integrated in the curriculum which makes learning interesting and enjoyable for students. Activities Based Learning creates opportunities to develop complex skills, such as high order thinking, problem solving, collaborating and communicating. It also enriches student’s academic experience and learning outcomes by connecting theory with practice and concept with method.

Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning Domains remains the most widely used system of its kind in education. The curriculum is so designed that it nurtures and develops child’s Knowledge, Attitude and Skill.

Children have different ways of learning styles and basically these learning styles are broadly grouped into three basic styles like Auditory, Visual, and Kinesthetic.

Auditory or Language Learners are more likely to remember information by talking aloud or talking to themselves while learning to themselves.

Visual Learners learn through watching. They visualize and learn

Kinesthetic Learners learn best through hands-on activities and movements.

Our teachers

“The teacher is not an instructor he is a helper and a guide. His purpose is to suggest and not impose. He does not actually train the pupil’s mind, he only shows him how to perfect his instruments of knowledge and helps, and encourages him in the process”
